Add a blog to your site

The Blog tab gives a static site a WordPress-style editor. You write and press Publish; Fylo renders the posts as static HTML inside your site, so they load as fast as the rest of it.

Turn it on

1. Open Blog in the dashboard and choose the site.
2. Click Enable blog and give it a name. The blog appears at /blog/ on that site (you can change the path in settings, including / if the whole site is a blog).

Nothing in your uploaded files is changed. The blog lives next to them.

Write and publish

• New post opens the editor: title, body with headings, lists, links, images, quotes and code, plus an excerpt, category, tags and a cover image.
• Save draft keeps it private and gives you a preview link. Publish puts it live at /blog/your-post-title/ and rebuilds the blog index, category pages, RSS feed and sitemap.
• Pages work the same way for content that isn't dated — About, Contact, a landing page.
• To take something offline, Unpublish turns it back into a draft. Delete removes it.

Images you add in the editor are stored with the site and served from your own domain.

Design

In Blog → Settings:

• Theme — Clean, Magazine (grid, wider) or Minimal (serif, narrow). Themes only wrap your content, so you can switch at any time without touching a post.
• Accent colour, logo, tagline, footer text, navigation links.
• Use my site's header and footer — Fylo copies the header and footer from your uploaded site so the blog looks like part of it, instead of using the theme's own.
• Custom CSS and head / footer code for fonts, analytics snippets or small tweaks.
• Posts per page, language, time zone, author name and bio.

SEO and feeds

• Each post has its own meta title and meta description; if you leave them empty the title and excerpt are used.
• Clean URLs (/blog/my-post/), a canonical tag, Open Graph tags and article structured data are added for you.
• An RSS feed at /blog/feed.xml (can be turned off) and a sitemap at /blog/sitemap.xml. If your site has no sitemap.xml or robots.txt of its own, Fylo writes one that points to the blog; files you uploaded yourself are never overwritten.
• Drafts and previews are marked noindex.

Write from an AI app

With the MCP server connected, "write a post about X on my site and publish it" in Claude or ChatGPT creates the post through the same pipeline, with the same limits. It shows up in the Blog tab, where you can edit it by hand.
