v0 makes the site in minutes. Owning it is the slow part.
What v0 builds is a real Next.js app with Tailwind and shadcn/ui. It’s tied to Vercel by default. These are the six places people get stuck between “the preview looks perfect” and “this is my business’s website”.
The free publish is personal-use only
v0’s Publish deploys to Vercel. On the free Hobby plan, Vercel’s own fair use guidelines rule out commercial use: taking payments, advertising a service, ads, affiliate sites, or being paid to build the site.
Going legit means Vercel Pro and a meter
Commercial sites on Vercel need Pro, which starts at $20 a month with usage billed on top. That’s a developer-platform bill for what is often a five-section marketing page.
The ZIP has no index.html in it
Download ZIP gives you package.json, app/page.tsx and a components folder. That’s source code, not a website. Upload it anywhere as-is and you get a file listing or a 404.
Copied code shows a white page
Copy page.tsx out of v0’s code view and paste it into an HTML host, and nothing renders. It’s a React component that needs Next.js, its imports and a build step to become a page.
Leaving Vercel usually means Git and a CLI
Most guides send you through GitHub sync, build commands, framework presets and environment variables on another platform. Fine for developers, a wall for everyone else who used v0 to avoid all that.
Forms, blog and analytics are yours to build
v0 will happily draw a contact form, but something has to receive it. A blog means a CMS. Every one of those is another prompt, another service, another thing to keep running.

Where a v0 website can live
What v0’s Publish button gives you for free, what Vercel charges for commercial use, and what the same site gets as a static export on Fylo. The last row is there because it’s true.

How to host a website made with v0
Three steps. The first one depends on whether you want a single page or the full Next.js project — both routes are below.
Get a static version out of v0
For one page, ask v0 for “the whole site as a single index.html with all CSS and JavaScript inline” and copy it. For a full project, turn on static export and build it into an out folder.
index.html
// or the export folder
out/ index.html · _next/ · about/
Paste it or drop the folder
Paste the HTML into the editor at the top and check the live preview, or drop the out folder on the homepage. Type a subdomain or let us pick one.
Publish & share
Live in seconds on any phone or browser. Sign up free to keep it online, then add your domain, a blog, forms and speed settings from the dashboard.
One page? Ask v0 for a single HTML file.
Landing pages, portfolios, waitlists and pricing pages fit in one file. v0 writes TSX with shadcn/ui, lucide icons and Tailwind, and none of that runs from a pasted file — so send v0 this prompt, then paste what it returns into the editor above. No Node.js, no terminal.
Multi-page site? Static-export it.
Keep v0’s components and routing. Add three settings to next.config (keep what’s already there), build once, and upload the out folder on the homepage.
output: 'export',
images: { unoptimized: true },
trailingSlash: true,
// then
npm install && npm run build
// drop out/ on fylo.host
Paste the Route B prompt into v0 before you download the ZIP, so the project arrives ready to build. Rather not run the build yourself? The Agent prompt tab lets Claude Code or Cursor do the build and the upload for you.
Six things that go wrong moving a v0 site off Vercel, and the fix for each
Most of these are Next.js static-export rules, not Fylo quirks. They happen on every static host, and each one has a one-line fix.
White page, or raw code on screen
You pasted page.tsx or a component. It needs Next.js and a build step; a browser opening one file can’t run it.
Home page works, /about doesn’t
Without trailingSlash: true, Next.js writes about.html instead of about/index.html, and links to /about miss it.
out.Plain black text, no layout
Only index.html got uploaded. The CSS and JavaScript Next.js generated live in out/_next/, and the page can’t find them.
out folder on the homepage, not just the HTML.“Image Optimization … not compatible with export”
next/image resizes images on a server by default, and a static export has no server.
images: { unoptimized: true }. Fylo’s one-click WebP handles the optimising instead.Server actions or API routes won’t export
The contact form posts to a server action, or the page calls app/api/.... Both need a running server.
npm install errors on a fresh v0 download
v0 projects often ship a pnpm-lock.yaml, and version conflicts between packages can stop npm cold.
npx pnpm install, or npm install --legacy-peer-deps.Built for sites that started as a prompt
Everything below is on by default or one toggle away in the dashboard. No repo, no pipeline, no framework preset to pick.

v0 made the landing page. Let a blog bring the traffic.
A one-page site gets one chance to rank. A blog gives Google a reason to come back. Fylo adds one next to the pages v0 built, without touching your export.
- Turn it on in the dashboard. Blog tab → choose the site → Enable blog. It appears at
/blog/; your uploaded files are left alone. - No redeploy for a new post. Write in the Visual or Code editor with a media library, categories, tags and a cover image. The v0 build never needs rebuilding for content.
- It looks like your site. Pick the Clean, Magazine or Minimal theme, or let Fylo copy the header and footer from the page v0 made.
- The SEO plumbing is done for you. Clean URLs, canonical and Open Graph tags, article structured data, an RSS feed and a sitemap.
- 10 published posts on the free plan, unlimited on paid plans. Posts render as static HTML, so they load as fast as the rest of the site. Blog guide

Keep Vercel when it’s an app. Host on Fylo when it’s a website.
v0’s Publish to Vercel is the better fit when
- It’s a personal project or a demo, and the Hobby plan’s non-commercial rule fits.
- The app needs sign-in, a database, AI calls with a secret key, or server-rendered pages.
- You want every v0 edit live automatically, with preview deployments per version.
- Your team already pays for Vercel Pro and wants everything in one place.
Host it on Fylo when
- It’s a website for a business, a product or a client, and you don’t want a $20+ metered plan to be allowed to run it.
- The pages are static: marketing, portfolio, docs, pricing, a calculator or a quiz.
- You want a contact form, a blog and real visitor numbers without building them.
- You’d rather paste or drop files than set up Git, a CLI and build settings.
