Web hosting for musicians, bands and DJs
One site for fans and for the people who book you. Build it with ChatGPT or Claude using the prompts on this page, put it live on yourband.com, and let Fylo keep it fast on every phone, light on Spotify and YouTube embeds, and easy for Google and AI assistants to read.
What is web hosting for musicians?
Web hosting for musicians puts your own artist website online at an address you control, such as yourband.com, so fans can hear your music, see your shows and join your mailing list, and promoters, press and wedding planners can find your press kit and book you. On Fylo.Host you upload the site (an HTML file, a ZIP, a folder, or the code ChatGPT or Claude wrote from one of the prompts below), connect your domain, and it is served from Cloudflare’s edge in 330+ cities with free SSL.
Keep your streaming and social profiles. Your site is the one link that is yours: it ranks for your name, holds the press kit and tech rider a booker needs, collects fan emails, and stays put when an app changes its feed. Fylo adds a blog and the SEO + GEO files that search engines and AI assistants read, and the tools you use on gig nights and release days.

A streaming profile is not a home page
Spotify, Instagram and a link-in-bio page are where fans discover you. They are a poor place to be the only thing a booker finds.
A promoter checks you before they reply. Without a press kit, the slot goes to the act that looks ready.
Profiles you rent
Each platform decides what fans see, puts other artists beside you, and has no place for your fee, your rider or your booking contact.
Bookers can’t find a press kit
Promoters, festival programmers, journalists and wedding planners all search your name. A link-in-bio page is a list of links, not a page that answers their questions.
Followers aren’t a list you own
Reach rises and falls with every feed change. An email list collected on your own site reaches fans on release day whatever the algorithm does.
Players make sites slow
Every Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube embed loads its own scripts before anyone presses play. A fan on a phone at the venue waits, then leaves.
What a musician website needs: one record, two sides
Fans and the people who book you want different things from the same site. Side A wins listeners. Side B wins gigs. Every prompt below builds both.
Side A for fans
- A1Your latest release, first
Cover, a play button above the fold and a short preview hosted on your site. Full tracks stay on the streaming platforms.
/ - A2Listen everywhere
Every release with links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Bandcamp. Players load only when tapped.
/music - A3Shows
Upcoming dates with ticket links and event schema, so Google can list them. Past shows move to an archive.
/shows - A4Mailing list
One email field, on every page. The audience you keep when an app changes its rules.
/#list - A5Videos
Music videos and live sessions as light thumbnails that load YouTube on click.
/videos - A6Your own link-in-bio
A links page on your own domain for Instagram and TikTok bios, with your newest release on top.
/links
Side B for bookers, press and labels
- B1Bio in three lengths
50, 150 and 400 words, so a journalist or festival can copy the one that fits.
/epk - B2Press photos to download
High-resolution, credited, in one ZIP that takes a click to save.
/press.zip - B3Tech rider and stage plot
A page that prints cleanly on A4 and Letter, so the sound engineer always has the current version.
/rider - B4Press quotes and highlights
Festival slots, airplay, support shows and streaming milestones, with sources.
/epk#press - B5Booking
A form that asks for date, city, venue type and budget. Wedding and event acts add packages and starting fees.
/booking - B6Private previews
Unreleased tracks for press and labels on a password-protected page, from the Starter plan.
/preview
Twelve tracks sounds like a lot. On a small site most of them are sections of one page; the prompts split them into pages only where it helps.
Put your shows into Google’s event listings
Google can show a concert with its date, venue and ticket link right in search when the page carries Event structured data. Fill in a show, copy the code, and paste it before </head> on your shows page. It runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
One block per upcoming show
Repeat it for each date. After a show has happened, delete its block or move the show to an archive list without the code.
Check it before you publish
Paste your live shows page into Google’s Rich Results Test. Valid code makes a show eligible; Google decides whether to display it.
The prompts do this for you
Every prompt in the guide asks the AI to write this markup for each upcoming date, and the follow-up prompt updates it when new shows are announced.
Build your musician website with AI: copy-paste prompts
Pick your kind of act, replace the [placeholders] with your details, and paste the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any AI builder. Each one returns a fast, SEO-ready site with both sides of the record, ready to upload to Fylo as it is.

Technical requirements added to every prompt when you copy it
Technical requirements: - Output index.html (and any extra pages I asked for) as complete files, with all CSS in a <style> tag and only a little vanilla JavaScript. No frameworks, no build step, no external libraries. - Mobile-first and responsive from 360px wide, because most fans arrive on a phone from Instagram, TikTok or a QR code at a gig. - Accessible: semantic HTML, one H1 per page, alt text on every image, visible focus styles, AA colour contrast, and no autoplay audio or video. - Fast: a system font stack or at most one web font with font-display: swap, width and height on every image, and loading="lazy" on images below the first screen. Don't add srcset; my host generates image sizes. - Embeds: never load Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Bandcamp or YouTube iframes when the page opens. Show the cover or thumbnail with a play button and insert the iframe only after a click. - Audio previews: <audio controls preload="none"> pointing to MP3 files in audio/, 30 seconds or shorter. - SEO: a title under 60 characters with my artist name, genre and city, a meta description under 160 characters, Open Graph and Twitter card tags using my cover art, and a canonical link to https://[yourdomain.com]/. - Structured data (JSON-LD): the artist as MusicGroup (band or group) or Person (solo artist or DJ) with name, genre, url, image, location, and sameAs links to every streaming and social profile; a MusicAlbum or MusicRecording for each release with byArtist and datePublished; one MusicEvent for each upcoming show with name, startDate including the time-zone offset, eventStatus, location as a Place with a PostalAddress, performer, and offers with url, price, priceCurrency and availability. No MusicEvent markup for past shows. FAQPage for any FAQ section. - Forms: standard HTML <form> elements with method="POST", a name attribute on every field and a required email field, so a form service can receive them. Keep the mailing list and booking forms separate. - Use relative links and paths such as images/cover.webp and audio/preview.mp3 so the site works on any domain. - Mark every piece of placeholder text I still need to replace with [EDIT]. - Give me each file in its own code block, then list the images and audio files I need to add with file names and sizes (cover art 1200 x 1200, photos at least 1600px wide, previews as 128 kbps MP3).
Size check: a 30-second MP3 preview at 128 kbps is about 0.5 MB. Compress photos to WebP and stream full tracks from the platforms, and a band site fits comfortably in the free plan’s 10 MB.
Prompts for the next step
Paste these into the same chat once the first version is ready.
Find your one-liner
Bookers decide in one sentence.
Ask me 8 questions about my music, my audience, my best shows and what makes us different, one at a time. Then write a one-line description, a 50-word bio and a hero headline that would make a promoter want to listen.
Announce new shows
Keeps the dates and schema in step.
Here are my new show dates: [paste date, city, venue, ticket link for each]. Update the Shows section and add a MusicEvent JSON-LD block for each new date. Move any date before [today's date] to the Past shows list and remove its MusicEvent markup.
Make a release page
One link for the whole campaign.
Create release-[title].html in the same style: the cover large, release date, buttons to every platform, a 30-second preview, credits (writers, producer, mix and master), the story behind it in 120 words, and MusicRecording JSON-LD. Before release day show "Out [date]" and a mailing list form instead of the platform buttons.
Build a links page
Replaces your link-in-bio tool.
Create links.html for my Instagram and TikTok bio: my photo and name, then large full-width buttons for my newest release, next show, mailing list, YouTube and merch. It must load instantly on a phone, use no external scripts, and link back to the home page.
Check SEO and speed
A second pass catches the misses.
Review my site like a technical SEO and performance auditor. Fix a missing or long title or meta description, wrong heading order, missing alt text, images without width and height, iframes that load before a click, autoplay, and invalid JSON-LD. Return the corrected files and a short list of what you changed.
Write your first blog post
Answer something fans or bookers search.
Write a 900-word blog post for my music website titled "[e.g. The story behind Paper Boats / How much does a live band for a wedding in Jaipur cost?]". Open with a direct two-sentence answer or hook, use H2 sections, include these real details: [details]. End with a 4-question FAQ and a link to [listen / book us].
Publish what the AI built
Three ways from the chat to a live site. None needs a server or a terminal. Put your images in images/ and previews in audio/ next to index.html first.
Drop the folder
ZIP the folder (or drag it as it is) onto fylo.host. It is live on a free subdomain in seconds.
Paste the code
Copy a single-page site from the chat into the HTML to website converter, preview it, and publish.
Ask Claude
Add the Fylo.Host connector to Claude and say “publish this site to Fylo”. New tour dates go live the same way.
How to build and host a musician website for free
No designer, no WordPress install, no monthly builder fee. About fifteen minutes from prompt to a site you can put in your bio.
Generate it with AI
Copy the prompt for your act, fill in your details and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Add your photos, cover art and MP3 previews.
Upload it to Fylo
Drop the folder on fylo.host. It goes live on a free subdomain with SSL, up to 10 MB on the free plan.
Make it yours
Connect yourband.com from the Starter plan, switch on YouTube previews and lazy loading in Performance, and put the link in every bio.
Built for gig nights and release days
The moments a music site earns its keep: a crowd scanning a QR code, a single dropping at midnight, a planner sending an enquiry the morning after your set.
A QR code for every site
Open it from the site menu and print it on posters, the merch table or the stage screen. It opens your site, on your domain.
Fast when everyone arrives at once
Served from 330+ edge cities. Paid plans add the edge cache, about 100ms to first byte. Pick a plan by monthly visits: 25,000 on Starter, 150,000 on Pro.
Light players
In Performance, switch on YouTube previews, lazy-loaded iframes for Spotify and SoundCloud players, and delayed scripts. Your files are never changed.
Mailing list and bookings
On Pro and Business, the forms the AI built just work: sign-ups and enquiries are emailed to you and listed in the dashboard, with a spam filter and maths captcha.
Private previews
Password-protect a site of unreleased tracks for press and labels, from Starter. For a one-off share, temporary hosting expires on its own.
Every project, one dashboard
Band, solo project, DJ alias and a release microsite: 4 sites on Pro, 10 on Business, each with its own domain and analytics.
Be the act Google lists and AI recommends
More people now ask ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity for “a jazz band for a wedding in Pune” or “indie bands like the ones I already love”. GEO, generative engine optimization (also called AEO), is how those assistants read and cite your site. SEO is how Google ranks it. Here is what each question needs.
Your /shows page with MusicEvent schema for every upcoming date, so Google can list each show with its ticket link.
A packages page with prices, the cities you cover and an FAQ, plus a blog post that answers the cost question directly.
An about page that states your genre, city and influences in plain words, with MusicGroup schema linking all your profiles.
An /epk page with bios, photos, a rider and the booking contact, linked from the home page so it is crawled.
Site and blog sitemaps
Every page and post with a last-modified date, ready to submit in Google Search Console.
llms.txt and robots.txt
A plain index AI assistants can read in one request, and a robots.txt that points to your sitemap.
Markdown copy of each post
Every post is also served as clean Markdown at its URL + .md, the easiest format for an AI to quote.
Article, FAQ and Organization schema
Written on every blog post, with your act’s name and logo set once in Settings.
Broken link checker
Ticket links expire and platforms change URLs. Dead links are found after each upload and fixed in one click.
Your artist schema
MusicGroup or Person, releases and shows come from the prompts; the show generator covers one-off dates.
A blog that sells tickets and bookings
Fans search the story behind a song; planners search what a band costs. A post on your own domain answers both and ends at your mailing list or booking form.
- ✓Styled like your site: Match my site borrows your header, footer and colours
- ✓Blocks that win searches: FAQ, table of contents, callout and a CTA button to your booking form

Every blog feature is on every plan; the free plan includes 10 posts. No host can promise rankings or AI citations. Fylo removes the technical reasons a site isn’t found; your pages still have to answer what people ask.
Start free. Upgrade when the gigs grow.
Every plan includes the blog, SEO + GEO files, speed settings, the global edge network and free SSL. Paid plans add your own domain, the edge cache, more sites and forms.

Music website builders win on a built-in store. If you sell merch in volume, link a store from your Fylo site or use one. Comparing hosts? See GitHub Pages, Netlify and Tiiny Host.
Good to know before you start
Fylo hosts static websites. That’s why they’re fast and need no upkeep, and it means a few things work differently.
Stream full tracks elsewhere
Host short previews here and send full plays to Spotify, Apple Music or Bandcamp, where they count toward your streams and royalties.
No store or ticketing
Link to your merch store, Bandcamp page or ticketing partner, or add a payment link from your payment provider.
No email inboxes
Keep your registrar or email provider for booking@yourband.com. Your site and email share the same domain.
No PHP or databases
WordPress itself doesn’t run here. HTML, CSS and JavaScript do, including plain HTML sites and anything AI builders make.
Questions musicians ask
Something else? Email ravi@fylo.host; a person answers.
Fans can find you on the platforms, but bookers, press and wedding planners look for more: a press kit, a tech rider, prices and a booking contact. Your own website is the one place that holds all of it, ranks for your name, collects fan emails you keep, and stays the same when an app changes its feed. Keep your profiles and link them all from your site.
Yes. The Fylo.Host free plan includes 1 site, 10 MB of storage, 1,000 visits a month, a free subdomain, free SSL, a blog with 10 posts and SEO + GEO files, with no credit card. When you want yourband.com, the Starter plan adds your own domain.
Yes, from the Starter plan. Buy the domain from any registrar, for example yourband.com, yourband.in or a music extension such as .band or .music where it is available, and connect it in the dashboard. SSL is set up automatically. Pro includes 4 domains and Business includes 10.
Copy the prompt for your kind of act from this page, replace the placeholders with your details and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It returns a complete, SEO-ready site with a music section, shows, a mailing list and a press kit. Add your photos, cover art and MP3 previews, then upload the folder to Fylo.Host, paste single-page code into the HTML to website converter, or ask Claude to publish it through the Fylo.Host connector.
For fans: your latest release with a preview, links to every streaming platform, upcoming shows with ticket links, videos, a mailing list sign-up and a links page for your social bios. For bookers and press: a bio in several lengths, downloadable press photos, a tech rider and stage plot, press quotes and a booking form. Wedding and event acts should add packages, a song list and an FAQ.
Yes, MP3 and MP4 files upload with your site, so you can host short previews and clips. Keep full tracks on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp or YouTube, where plays count toward your streams, and embed their players. Fylo can show YouTube embeds as a light preview until someone presses play and lazy-load other players, so the page stays fast.
Add MusicEvent structured data for each upcoming show to your shows page, with the date and time, the venue address and the ticket link. Use the show schema generator on this page or the AI prompts, which write it for you. Remove the markup once a show has passed, and test the page in Google's Rich Results Test. Valid markup makes a show eligible; Google decides whether to display it.
Yes. On the Pro and Business plans, Fylo Forms turns the sign-up form on your site into a working form with a spam filter and an optional maths captcha; sign-ups are emailed to you and listed in your dashboard. On any plan you can embed the sign-up form from your email newsletter service instead.
Fylo hosts static websites, so there is no built-in shop or ticketing. Link to your merch store, Bandcamp page or ticketing partner, or add a payment link or button from your payment provider.
Yes. From the Starter plan you can password-protect a site, so a preview site with unreleased tracks is only open to people you give the password to. For a quick one-off share, temporary website hosting gives you a link that expires on its own.
No host can promise rankings, but Fylo removes the technical reasons a site is not found: pages load fast from the edge, and the blog adds sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, an llms.txt and a Markdown copy of every post, which help Google and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity read and cite you. Your pages still need to say clearly who you are, what you play and where.
We never inject third-party ads, banners or popups. Free sites show a small Fylo badge, and it is removed on every paid plan. Your site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so you can download it and move it any time.
